Michael Popov

Michael Popov has extensive work experience in various engineering and managerial roles. Michael is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Azul Systems since October 2020. Prior to that, they held positions at OpenWay as the Head of Engineering in the eChannels Department from September 2019 to September 2020, and as a Software Development Manager from December 2015 to September 2019. Before joining OpenWay, they worked at Grid Dynamics as a Delivery Director from August 2014 to November 2015, and as a Senior Manager from September 2012 to August 2014. Michael also worked at Oracle as an Engineering Manager from January 2011 to September 2012. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Sun Microsystems as a Software Engineering Manager from July 2007 to December 2010, and as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2004 to July 2007. Michael started their career at Relativity Technologies as a Team Leading Software Developer from April 2000 to September 2004, and at Lanit-Tercom Inc as a Software Engineer from 1996 to 2004. Michael also worked at Relativity Technologies as a Software Quality Engineer from March 1996 to March 2000.

Michael Popov has a post-graduate education in Computer Science, with a specialization in Flow Analysis. Michael pursued this degree at Saint Petersburg State University from 2000 to 2003. Prior to their post-graduate studies, Michael completed a master's degree in Maths, Computer Science & Software Engineering at the same university. This degree spanned from 1995 to 2000.
