Since October 2021, Cody has served as the owner of Fish Guntersville Guide Service and has been a professional angler with B.A.S.S., LLC since January 2015. Additionally, Cody has operated Cody Detweiler Fishing since January 2011. Prior to these roles, Cody was the manager of Big Toho Enterprises INC. from January 2008 to October 2021, contributing to a family business. Cody's qualifications include a degree as a OUPV Coast Guard Captain obtained from Sea School in 2013, complemented by a high school education from Freedom High School, completed in 2011.
