Jinny Wu

Jinny Wu has extensive experience in communications and marketing. Jinny currently serves as the Director of Marketing + Communications at Innovate BC since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Manager of Communications at the Vancouver Convention Centre from November 2009 to August 2021. In that role, they developed and executed a comprehensive communications strategy, including media relations, social media, internal communications, and stakeholder relations. Before their time at the convention center, they were a Communications Specialist at the BC Cancer Agency from August 2006 to November 2009. Jinny also held communications roles at Western Economic Diversification Canada and Service Canada from 2005 to 2006 and from 2003 to 2005, respectively.

Jinny Wu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a minor in Commerce from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, they have obtained a Level 1 certification in the Innovation Governance Program from the Innovation Governance Program institution in 2023.
