Williams Johnson Mota has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership, advisory, and management roles. Williams co-founded and served as the director of B-Hive Living, a developer and operator of co-living homes and live/work spaces. Williams was also a change, leadership, and organizational development advisor at L21, where they were responsible for various strategies and mentoring programs. Mota served as a judge at the National CSR Awards, and was the CEO of LEAD, an international organization focused on developing leadership capacity for sustainable development. Williams was a network council member at the Climate and Development Knowledge Network, and served as the managing director and commercial director at the Great Place to Work Institute UK. Mota's earlier work experience includes being a researcher at AccountAbility, a think-tank providing research-based advisory work on corporate responsibility and sustainable development.

Williams Johnson Mota has a diverse education history. In 2010, they attended the London Business School and completed the Accelerated Development Program (ADP). In 2015, they pursued a Systems Coaching Certification (ORSC) from the International Coaching Federation (IDF) & CRR Global. Williams also participated in the U-Process Foundation Program at the Presencing Institute, focusing on Social Innovation. In 2006, Williams obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business (PCSB) from the University of Cambridge. Lastly, their earlier education includes a BA (Hons) degree in Urban Planning and Tourism Development from the University of Westminster.
