Jon Merriman

Jon Merriman is the current Senior Managing Director and Chief Business Officer at B. Riley Financial. Jon has held this position since August 2016. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Merriman Holdings, Inc. from February 2002 to August 2016. Jon's focus was on hiring, equitizing and retaining the best possible people in this very competitive industry. Jon also focused on helping their clients, which are typically fast growing, entrepreneurial companies, achieve their growth goals. Their management team is continuously seeking acquisitions that will help their public company's growth and profitability, diversify their sources of revenue and increase their recurring revenues.

From June 1996 to September 2000, Jon Merriman was the Managing Director of Equities at Wells Fargo Securities. Jon managed the sales, trading, research, syndicate and derivatives departments of the investment banking/brokerage arm of Wells Fargo. The predecessor company, Van Kasper & Co, was acquired by First Security Bank, which was then acquired by Wells Fargo.
