Mohameden Abouby

Mohameden Abouby is an experienced Senior Mining Engineer with a robust background in mining operations and planning. Currently serving at B2Gold Corp. since April 2017 in various leadership roles, including Chief Mine Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer, Mohameden has demonstrated expertise in mine planning and reserve estimation. Prior experience includes key positions at Newmont Mining Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed long-range planning and mineable reserves estimation, and at AngloGold Ashanti, where integrated and short-term planning was a focus. Mohameden began the professional journey as an intern at Barrick Gold Corporation and Newmont Mining Corporation, gaining foundational experience in mine design and operations. Mohameden holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
