Sneha Velayudhan

Sneha Velayudhan has a range of work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Sneha began their career as a System Engineer at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, where they led a team in designing and developing a prototype model of an Electronic Power System for a small satellite. Sneha also conducted a literature review and studied power generation using solar panels in a satellite orbit. Sneha evaluated power budgets using Microsoft Excel to determine power generation and system demands.

Sneha then moved on to work as a Research Associate and Team Lead at the same institute, where they led a team of 45 members working on different subsystems of a satellite. Sneha worked towards the first prototype model of a twin Nano-satellite and focused on system architecture for end-to-end communication from the satellite to the ground station.

Sneha continued their education at Rochester Institute of Technology, where they held multiple roles. As a System Hardware Engineer, Research Assistant, and RF Engineer, they worked on setting up a receiver chain for receiving signals from radio stations and satellites. Sneha also conducted Link Analysis to evaluate the link margin for satellite communication.

At Ellucian, Sneha worked as a Technical Support Assistant, installing and configuring security policies on Cisco and Checkpoint firewalls and VPN. Sneha also troubleshooted ongoing classroom issues using online learning tools and escalated unresolved issues to the second layer of support.

Most recently, Sneha worked as an IoT Engineer at Baanyan Software Services, Inc., where they focused on developing and implementing IoT solutions.

Overall, Sneha Velayudhan has a diverse background in engineering and technology, with experience in satellite systems, RF engineering, technical support, and IoT.

Sneha Velayudhan completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University from the years 2006 to 2012. Sneha then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) in Telecommunications Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, from 2014 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Sneha Velayudhan obtained Education Credential Evaluation from World Education Services in August 2019. Sneha also earned a CCNA certification from Cisco in August 2017.
