Shane Skinner

Shane is the interface with the client. As the user-requirement specifications are prepared in the early stages of the project, it’s his job to think of the things the clients don’t think of and to be clear on the objectives from the outset.

Shane then brings a high-level view of the entire project as he manages the specification writers, oversees the consenting and tendering processes, manages the procurement and construction phases, and stays on site for the entire job until the facility is commissioned and goes into production.

Shane worked for Babbage from 2007-2010, then re-joined the company in 2012. He has special expertise in dairy processing, and brings another element to this work – he began working in dairy factories as a teenager.

Shane studied biochemistry and applied sciences at what are now Auckland University of Technology and the Waikato Institute of Technology between 1990 and 1997, completing the academic requirements for the National Certificate in Science. He has worked in a range of industries connected with dairy in roles including commissioning engineer, site manager and commercial development manager.
