Laura J M has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laura J began their career in 2003 as a Corporate Accountant at Interstate Supply Company, where they established and maintained accounting principles. Laura J then worked as a CPA Associate at Larry D French, CPA, handling various responsibilities such as income tax returns and payroll preparation. Afterward, Laura joined Nexsen Pruet, LLC as a Finance Administrator, managing financial records for a law firm. Laura J later served as the Controller at The Settlement Source, overseeing the firm's accounting functions and preparing financial statements.

In 2014, Laura joined TriNet, where they initially worked as a Payroll Specialist, responsible for maintaining payroll records and auditing payrolls for accuracy. Laura J was later promoted to the role of Senior Payroll Specialist, where they audited over 500 payrolls a month and resolved escalated issues.

Laura's next role was at Paychex as a Senior Payroll Specialist, processing high-volume payrolls for multiple paytypes and serving as a vital customer service link. Laura J then joined Applegreen PLC as a Payroll Manager, where they managed US payroll operations and oversaw a transition to a nationwide payroll cycle.

Most recently, Laura joined Babcock Center as the Senior Director of Finance. In this role, they plan and directs all accounting, payroll, and information technology operations of the agency. Laura J manages a team of direct and indirect reports and participates in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.

Additionally, Laura has experience as a business owner, having owned and operated Larel Creek Finds, a family-owned company specializing in handmade crafts and gifts. Furthermore, they have provided self-employed personal income tax services since 2006.

Throughout their career, Laura has consistently demonstrated skills in financial management, payroll, accounting principles, and team leadership.

Laura J M. completed their education with a Master of Jurisprudence degree in Labor and Employment Law from Tulane University Law School. Laura J attended the law school from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in History and Accounting from Erskine College. Laura J'sundergraduate education took place from 1991 to 1994. In addition to their academic achievements, Laura J M. holds two certifications. Laura J is a Certified Economic Crime Forensic Examiner, which they obtained from the National White Collar Crime Center in June 2022.
