John Kearney

John Kearney has extensive experience in the field of overhead line construction and maintenance, currently serving as a transmission linesman and chargehand at Amec Foster Wheeler since June 2015. Kearney's career includes significant roles at Babcock International Group PLC as an overhead linesman erector, where responsibilities encompassed tasks associated with high-voltage lines and substations. With a strong background in assembly, erection, and upgrading of transmission lines spanning from 132kV to 400kV, Kearney has acquired skills in line stringing, tower strengthening, and installation of various components including antennas and fibre optic fittings. Additional experience includes positions at multiple companies such as Balfour Beatty and Interserve Transmission Overhead Lines, where Kearney has honed expertise in substation work, project execution, and training related to overhead lines.
