Matt McAuley

Matt McAuley is a Combat System Design Change Engineer at Babcock International Group since August 2023. Previously, Matt served as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Hercules Hydraulics, where responsibilities included designing bespoke hydraulic systems for the marine industry. Prior experience also includes working as a Design Engineer for Princess Yachts, focusing on mechanism development for yachts ranging from 40-95ft, and as an IT & Design Engineer at Kingsley Plastics Limited, where Matt implemented automation for sales quoting and production flow improvement. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Design and Manufacture from the University of Plymouth and attended Shanghai Maritime University for a summer school program. Additionally, Matt coordinates the cardboard boat race for the IMechE Devon and Cornwall Area Committee since June 2021.
