Tara Shafer

Tara Shafer is an accomplished editor, blogger, and founder with extensive experience in digital content creation and support for families experiencing grief. Currently serving as Editor in Chief at Give In Kind since May 2016, Tara focuses on developing impactful digital content. Tara also contributes to BabyCenter and The Huffington Post, writing about parenting and related topics, and produces content on baby loss and grief for Psychology Today. In 2013, Tara founded Reconceiving Loss, LLC, a resource center dedicated to supporting families coping with pregnancy and infant loss. Additionally, Tara has a background in academia, having taught political science at Marist College, and has significant experience in humanitarian work with Human Rights First and Amnesty International. Tara holds degrees from Columbia University in Human Rights/Refugee Studies and Clark University in History.
