Jalen Michael has established a diverse background in editorial operations and management within the media sector. Currently serving as an Editorial Operations Coordinator at Backstage since July 2020, Jalen previously held the role of Editorial Assistant at the same organization. Prior experience includes a position as an Hourly Page at Queens Library from March 2014 to September 2020, as well as an Editorial Intern at Backstage and Managing Editor at The Catalyst during 2019. Educationally, Jalen earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the State University of New York at Old Westbury, graduating in 2020.
