Juan Francisco Navarro

Juan Francisco Navarro has a diverse work experience in engineering and biomedical fields. Juan Francisco began their engineering career as a Physics Counselor at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California from February 2018 to March 2019. Juan Francisco then gained practical experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician Intern at ISSSTECALI BC, where they performed maintenance and reliability tests on medical equipment from December 2019 to April 2020.

Navarro further expanded their skills as a Student Researcher at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they worked on EEG signal processing and classification algorithms for developing a brain-computer interface to aid ALS patients in a Monterrey City's hospital. This role lasted from June 2020 to August 2020.

In 2021, Navarro had two positions. As an Undergraduate Summer Researcher at the University of California, San Diego - Jacobs School of Engineering, they analyzed physiological data from heart disease patients to extract useful information and develop predictive models. This role lasted from June 2021 to August 2021, and they participated in the ENLACE 2021 program. Additionally, they served as a Biomedical Engineering Intern at Angeles Health Services, where they were involved in the maintenance, positioning, and support of medical equipment in the operating room during surgeries. Juan Francisco also assisted in managing requisitions and service reports. This internship lasted from July 2021 to February 2022.

Most recently, Navarro worked as a Software Engineer at Teradata from January 2022 to January 2023. Currently, they are employed as a Hardware Engineer at Backbar Solutions starting from January 2023.

Juan Francisco Navarro obtained a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, where they studied from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a High School Diploma in Clinical Laboratory from Preparatoria Federal Lázaro Cárdenas, attending from 2014 to 2017. Juan also completed their Secondary School Diploma in Informatics Technician from Escuela Secundaria Técnica 1, graduating in 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Juan Francisco Navarro has obtained several certifications. In December 2021, they received certifications in Python Object-Oriented Programming and Unit Testing and Test Driven Development in Python from LinkedIn. Juan Francisco also completed an iOS Mobile Developer bootcamp from ITJuana in August 2021. Furthermore, in April 2021, Juan obtained a certification in Brain Computer Interface & Neurotechnology Spring School from g.tec medical engineering GmbH.
