Jochem Luijten

Jochem Luijten is a seasoned professional in instructional design and education management with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as Principal Instructional Designer at Backbase since November 2024, Jochem is focused on establishing a structured content factory and leading a talented team of Instructional Designers. Previously, Jochem spent nearly seven years at Mendix in multiple senior roles, developing strategies for the Academy and documentation teams, expanding certification structures, and overseeing resource allocation. Jochem's career began in education management and technical writing roles, including significant positions at Ivanti and RES Software, where responsibilities included managing training programs and creating technical documentation. Jochem holds degrees from Utrecht University and Katholiek Gelders Lyceum.
