Rolando Jessurun

Rolando Jessurun has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Rolando is currently serving as the Interim Chief People Officer at Backbase, leading the Global People & Places Team and supporting the senior leadership team. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President Talent Acquisition at Backbase, where they were responsible for growing and leading the Global Talent Acquisition function.

Before joining Backbase, Rolando worked at Microsoft for several years, holding various leadership positions. Rolando served as the Global Executive Talent Acquisition Leader, leading a global team in the Talent Acquisition organization. Rolando also held roles such as Head of Talent Sourcing for India, Israel, Middle East, and Africa, Head of Talent Acquisition Engineering Europe, Executive Recruiter & Staffing Lead for Western Europe, and Staffing Lead for the Netherlands.

During their career, Rolando also founded their own company called Jessco Business, where they served as the Founder and specialized in HR, campaign, and marketing. Rolando also worked as a Media Specialist/Concept Developer at blendedmedia and as the Managing Director/Headhunter at FourM, which focused on executive search in the IT, telecommunications, and new media industries.

Additionally, Rolando held the position of Director at YoungProfessionals-ICT, a portal for ICT graduates and young professionals. Rolando also worked at companies such as Oracle, Anite Benelux, Anite, CA Technologies, and Intermodulair in various sales and managerial roles.

Rolando Jessurun earned their Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 1989 to 1993. Rolando continued their education at Delft University of Technology, where they obtained their MSc in Building Engineering from 1993 to 1996. In addition, they have obtained a certification as a LinkedIn Certified Professional-Recruiter in October 2018 from LinkedIn Certification.
