Jason Smith

Jason Smith has a diverse work experience in the media and outdoor industry. Jason is currently employed at Backbone Media as the Social Media Director, where they have been since January 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Associate Director of Social Media at Backbone Media from November 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Backbone Media, Jason worked at Inkwell Media Company as the Director of Operations from July 2017 to November 2021.

Jason also has experience working at REI as the Adventure Projects - Content & Social Media Manager from June 2015 to May 2016.

Between 2002 and 2015, they were employed at Storm Mountain Media - Freeskier and Snowboard as the Senior Account Executive.

Jason Smith also worked at Adventure Projects Inc as the Director of Partnerships and Business Development from August 2013 to May 2015.

Lastly, they gained early career experience at North South Publishing: Trail Runner and Rock & Ice as an Account Exec from September 2001 to May 2002, where they were involved in advertising sales, editorial programming, and brand marketing at trade shows.
