Karly van Leer

Karly van Leer serves as a Public Relations Account Manager at Backbone Media, managing accounts for brands such as Dickies, La Sportiva, PrimaLoft, Public Rec, and Picture since March 2025. Prior to this role, Karly held various positions at ECHOS Brand Communications, advancing from Public Relations Account Coordinator to Account Executive, working with clients like BOTE Boards and Timberland Eyewear from August 2023 to March 2025. Earlier experience includes a PR/Communications internship at Communications Strategy Group and a NCAA internship with USA Triathlon. Karly's career began at Nashawtuc Country Club, supervising staff and overseeing pool safety, along with coaching youth lacrosse. Karly holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations/Image Management and a minor in Sports Media from the University of Colorado Boulder.
