Hamza Surti

Hamza Surti has a diverse work experience, having worked in several roles and positions. Hamza is currently the Director of Engineering at Backpack, which they joined in February 2022. Previously, they worked at Pearl, where they started as a Software Engineer in January 2020 and then became an Engineering Manager from January 2021 to January 2022. Before that, they worked at Auction.com as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2019 to December 2019 and as a Software Engineer from October 2016 to January 2019. Hamza started their career as an Engineering Fellow at Codesmith LLC in 2016. Hamza was also a Researcher at the University of California, Riverside, from 2012 to 2015 and worked as an Engineer at International Rectifier in 2013.

Hamza Surti obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. Hamza then pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing their studies in 2020.
