Karin (Dommermuth) O'Connor, CFA

Karin (Dommermuth) O'Connor, CFA has a wealth of experience in the entrepreneurship and venture capital industries. Karin began their career in 2004 as President of Perimeter Advisors, an advisory firm that assists owners of mid-market businesses with planning and execution of value enhancement strategies. In 2011, they became an Advisory Board Member for Aaron Equipment Company, a world-leading dealer in the Process & Packaging Equipment Industry. In 2014, they were an Entrepreneur in Residence at Research Park at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. In 2016, they became a Clinical Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where they taught "New Venture Launch" and "Growth Strategy Practicum." Karin also led Kellogg's "Growth & Scaling" initiative. In 2017, they became a Venture Partner at Serra Ventures and an Entrepreneur in Residence at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. In 2018, they became an Advisory Board Member for LumiSource, LLC. In 2019, they became a Director at backstitch and an Advisory Board Member for North Shore Pediatric Therapy. Karin has also been an Advisory Board Member for DemandCaster/Cadent Resources, Inc. since 2003.

Karin (Dommermuth) O'Connor, CFA has a comprehensive educational background. Karin obtained their MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 1989, majoring in Finance and Management Strategy. Prior to that, they completed their BA in Finance (with a minor in German) at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1982. Karin also attended Carbondale Community High School. Additionally, they are a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder, certified by the CFA Institute.
