Deb Balderas has a diverse work experience history. Deb started their career at Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia (DSANV) in 2004, where they served as a Board Member and Buddy Walk Coordinator until 2007. Deb then joined Regional Reporting, Inc. in 2011, working as a Loss Control Consultant until 2013. In 2013, they worked as an Affiliate at Vemma until 2015.

From 2008 to 2015, Deb held various roles at Merton Community School District, including Girl Scout Troop Leader and PTO President. Simultaneously, they co-founded and served as Vice President/Advisor for Wisconsin Upside Down.

In 2012, they joined Merton Community School District & CESA #1 as a Family Engagement Liaison for Special Needs, ending their tenure in 2015.

Starting in 2014, Deb began their journey at Badger Meter as an Events Manager. Deb was responsible for delivering trade shows and events on time and within budget while meeting the company's needs. Deb also managed the company's presence at national and regional trade shows. In 2022, they transitioned to the role of Global Events Manager.

Deb also played a pivotal role in the community, serving as a Co-Coordinator for Friends of Joe's in 2014, where they organized a fundraiser for a neighbor battling cancer. This event attracted 650 attendees and raised $24,000.

Throughout their career, Deb has demonstrated their ability to manage events, engage with special needs families, and contribute to the success of various organizations.

Deb Balderas earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education, Community Health Education, and Safety Education from Eastern Illinois University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial Safety Education at Texas A&M University, attending from 1986 to 1987.
