Ahmed Salman is an experienced environmental and safety professional with a diverse background in the industrial sector. Currently serving as an Environmental Specialist at Bahrain Steel BSC since November 2019, Ahmed has taken on roles such as Acting Superintendent for Environment & Safety and managed the Intelex System. Prior experience includes working as an Environment Coordinator at Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill B.S.C. (GARMCO), where significant contributions were made in developing safety and environmental audit programs and compliance initiatives. Ahmed has also held positions as a Senior Safety Engineer at Almoayyed Contracting Group, an Electrical Technician at Rawan Engineering, and a Health Safety Environment Supervisor at Alhusam International. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from AMA International University of Bahrain, along with current studies toward an Associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Bahrain.

Bahrain Steel (formerly GIIC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Foulath was established in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 1988. Located on the Foulath Complex in the Hidd Industrial Area, Bahrain Steel operates two iron ore pelletizing plants with a total production capacity of 11.0 mtpy. Over time, Bahrain Steel has established its reputation as a market leader and is only one of three merchant pelletizing plants in the world and the only such operator in the Middle East region. Bahrain Steel produces mainly Direct Reduction (DR) - grade pellets for its customers in the Middle East, India, Far East and South East Asia. Blast Furnace (BF) – grade pellet production is also utilized from time to time when manufacturing pellets for customers in India, China and Japan. Bahrain Steel provides high quality iron oxide pellets to its customers in line with agreed specifications and delivery schedules whilst putting customer satisfaction as its topmost priority.
