Mohamed Z. Hejres has extensive work experience in various industries. Mohamed Z. started their career at STB Technologies as a Business Development Manager, where they focused on exploring new business opportunities outside of the company's existing plants. Mohamed Z.'sresponsibilities included investigating sectors such as Renewable Energy, Tourism, Chemical and Petrochemicals, and Electronics.
In 2009, Mohamed joined the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) as a Business Development Manager. Mohamed Z. played a crucial role in attracting Foreign Direct Investments and supporting the development of the logistics and manufacturing sectors in Bahrain. As part of the investor relations team, they contributed to building relationships with investors and government officials.
Over the years, Mohamed advanced within the EDB and held various positions, including Manager and Senior Manager in Investor Relations and Government Affairs. Mohamed Z.'sexpertise in policy advocacy and strategic engagement led him to become the Head of Policy and Strategic Engagement in 2023.

Mohamed Z. Hejres has a diverse education history. Mohamed Z. began their educational journey by completing their primary education at Al-Raja School from 1989 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a full-time diploma program at Naseem International School, where they obtained an American Diploma for their secondary education from 1998 to 2001.
Moving forward, Mohamed attended Glasgow Caledonian University from 2003 to 2006, specializing in Financial Services. This particular degree did not specify a field of study. Subsequently, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Mohamed's educational aspirations continued as they worked their way towards a Doctorate degree. Between 2015 and 2021, they attended SBS Swiss Business School, specializing in Investments. This academic pursuit allowed him to enhance their knowledge and expertise in the field.
In addition to their formal education, Mohamed Z. Hejres has also obtained certifications to further augment their skills. In August 2020, they completed the "Leadership and Character in Uncertain Times" certification from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education. Additionally, in December 2019, they obtained the "Implementing Public Policy" certification from the same institution.
