Liang Wang

Chief Architect

Liang Wang possesses extensive experience in the field of computer science, particularly in autonomous driving and vision technologies. Currently serving as Chief Architect at Baidu, Inc. since December 2013, Liang Wang leads the development of Apollo Lite, a 360° camera-based Level 4 autonomous driving solution, and holds multiple titles including Chair of the Apollo Technical Committee and Distinguished Architect, with a focus on sensing, prediction, and visual perception. Prior to this role, Liang Wang was a Principal Architect and Senior Scientist at Baidu Research, contributing significantly to autonomous perception systems and the Baidu Street View product. Liang Wang’s earlier work includes a position as a Researcher at Microsoft Corp, specializing in novel human-computer interfaces, and internships at Adobe Systems focusing on scene modeling and interactive stereo. Liang Wang earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Beihang University.
