About the role...
Reporting to the Head of Product, This role is driven by a commitment to deliver a well-planned range of products that are in the right place, at the right time across the Global Business.
Some of your Key Duties & Responsibilities
Line Planning & Inventory Management:
Following the critical path for the department and meeting all critical path timelines
Execute forecasting by category and country
Develop merchandise financial plans, manage the MSSI, option plans, manage OTB, inventory, sales and profit for all categories
Ensure that the right products are ordered and allocated to the stores at the right time
Follow seasonal plans and pricing strategies to meet sales target, getting stock in the right places across the right months
Develop and manage the inventory levels for each store, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimising excess inventory
Analyse and look for opportunities globally, taking into account the local market
Lead the global end-to-end Stocktake process, reviewing for opportunities and developing processes to drive efficiencies and increased accuracy
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
Conduct rate of sale & sell thru reporting & sales reporting to budget
Conduct the analysis of sales trends and forecasts future demand
Conduct trade reviews for all categories globally and make appropriate actions
Analyse product trade data in season, to identify trends and opportunities and make recommendations to implement changes that drive improved sales performance
Your skills and experience
Demonstrated previous experience in a Merchandise Planning role
Experience in forecasting, budgeting, range planning, managing OTB and inventory
A highly analytical mind and a love of diving into large data sets to understand and plan for excellent range performance
A strong leader, who is invested in the development of their team
Excellent commercial and business acumen
