Baillie Lodges
Baillie Lodges is a dynamic portfolio of luxury lodges in extraordinary destinations created by the partnership of James and Hayley Baillie. The Australia-based collection includes Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island, Longitude 131° at Uluru-Kata Tjuta, Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island and Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest. In 2019, an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners acquired Baillie Lodges with the aim to further expand the unique collection of luxury lodges. The addition of Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge on Canada’s Vancouver Island and New Zealand’s Huka Lodge marked the collection’s foray into international waters. Most recently, The Louise in the Barossa Valley has joined the Baillie Lodges family. Baillie Lodges’ Australian properties are each honoured as members of the Luxury Lodges of Australia collection. The Baillie Lodges properties are recognised for their standout natural locations, architectural integrity, locally sourced fine cuisine, first name service and dynamic approach to ecological sustainability. Each lodge offers guests a real experience of the destination and a genuine sense of place, while a spirit of generosity is at the heart of every stay. The culture at Baillie Lodges links closely with its core values, which include a passionate attention to detail, a natural connection with people and place and a genuinely warm welcome. The preservation and enhancement of the natural environments in which Baillie Lodges operates is essential to its continued success. The team actively work with our local communities encouraging economic growth, engaging local suppliers and employing local residents wherever possible. In 2024 the Spirit of Mateship program was launched, donating proceeds of the bi-annual auction of three-night stays at each lodge to nominated community, education and conservation organisations in each lodge location.
