Hossam Taher

Hossam Taher serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Baims since January 2024, following a successful tenure as Chief Executive Officer at Orcas from February 2018 to January 2024, where expertise in strategy, product development, fundraising, and team building was demonstrated. Prior roles include Head of Product at Cairo University and Founder & CEO of CairoSitters, an innovative platform connecting parents with babysitters and tutors. Additional experience encompasses mentoring at INJAZ Egypt, assisting at the Children's Cancer Hospital in Egypt, and medical observerships at the Cleveland Clinic. Hossam holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Cairo University and has furthered studies in Health Economics at the University of Cologne. Hossam's leadership background also includes serving as one of five elected school presidents during secondary education.
