Andrew Payne

Andrew Payne is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in military and civilian flight operations. Currently serving as an Airbus A400M Qualified Flying Instructor and Training Captain in the Royal Air Force since September 2020, Andrew also works as an Associate Consultant at Baines Simmons, focusing on aviation risk analysis and safety management. Prior roles include First Officer at British Airways, where Andrew flew the Boeing 777, and various positions within the Royal Air Force, including C-130J Qualified Flying Instructor and Captain, leading tactical airlift operations. Andrew's early career began as a Software Engineer at MDSI, complemented by formal education in Electronic Engineering from the University of York and completion of Air Transport Pilot's Licence theoretical exams.
