Amanda Smith

Amanda Smith, PMP, currently serves as the Senior Director of Operations at Bainum Family Foundation, a position held since July 2010. In this role, Amanda leads the implementation of operational strategies aimed at enhancing equity and efficiency while collaborating with the leadership team to strengthen organizational capabilities. Previous positions at the foundation include Director of Operations and System Analyst and Senior Manager of Operations, where Amanda focused on aligning operational processes with best practices and facilitating change management. Earlier experience includes significant roles in educational settings, such as teaching at District of Columbia Public Schools and working as a corps member with Teach For America. Amanda holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from American University, a Bachelor's Degree in English from Wake Forest University, and a Certificate in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
