Santanu Banerjee

Santanu, a seasoned industry veteran, comes with over 22 years of experience in human resources. In his current role, he is responsible for the strategic direction of people management, talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and succession planning. Santanu also has played a critical role in the transformation journey at Bajaj Allianz Life with respect to people policies and culture development.

Prior to joining Bajaj Allianz Life, Santanu worked with Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer. The other HR roles were with ING Vysya Life Insurance, Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance, Aditya Birla Health Insurance, and Hathway Cable & Dotcom.

Santanu graduated from the University of Calcutta and holds a Master’s degree in HR from the Army Institute of Management, Kolkata. An avid reader of literature, he is also a trained classical musician, who loves to play musical instruments.
