Avez Sayed

Avez Sayed currently serves as the Chief Risk Officer at Bajaj Allianz General Insurance since March 2023. Previously, Avez held the position of Chief Risk Officer, Head of Internal Audit and Fraud Investigation at SBI General Insurance from July 2018 to February 2023, where Avez was recognized as the first in the world to implement the ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Standard. Avez's earlier role included serving as the Sr. Associate Vice President – Enterprise Risk Management and Chief Information Security Officer at ICICI Lombard from June 2005 to June 2018, where Avez also implemented the ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Standard. Other professional experiences include project management at Fairfest Media Ltd and roles at Meroform India Pvt Ltd and Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Avez holds a Master’s degree in Insurance and Risk Management from City, University of London, an MBA in Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Business Strategy from Bharati Vidyapeeth, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Pune University.
