Abhay Chafekar

Abhay Chafekar is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of R&D at Bajaj Auto Ltd since June 2014, Abhay has previously held significant roles such as Vice President of R&D at the same company and Head of Engineering for the Bus Vertical at Ashok Leyland from December 2011 to June 2014. Abhay's earlier career includes positions as Head of Body and Trims for Passenger Cars at Tata Motors and Associate Vice President at INCAT. Abhay holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree from Shivaji University, completed between 1974 and 1979.
