Bibhas Karmakar

Bibhas Karmakar currently holds the position of General Manager at Adani Power since March 2020, having previously served as Associate General Manager at Raipur Energen Limited for a 2X685MW thermal power project. Bibhas also has extensive experience as Assistant Vice President BTG at Lalitpur Power Generation Company Limited, managing boiler maintenance since August 2013. Prior roles include Deputy General Manager of Mechanical at Essar Projects, overseeing BTG erection, testing, and commissioning for a 2X600MW thermal power plant, and Manager at Larsen & Toubro from 1995 to 2010. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Jnan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic, and an IPMA Level C certification in project management from the International Project Management Association.
