Oscar Silvius

Oscar Silvius has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Oscar has recently worked at Bakelite Synthetics as the Global Procurement Director, responsible for strategic raw materials including phenol, methanol, and urea. Prior to that, they held the position of Global Procurement Manager at the same company, managing a spending of approximately 1 billion USD in North America and Europe. Before joining Bakelite Synthetics, Oscar Silvius worked at Hexion Inc. as a Senior Commodity Manager, overseeing procurement exceeding 300 million USD for various commodities and specialty chemicals. Oscar started their career at Interchem Pte Ltd as an Oil Trader and later joined DSM, where they held various roles including Product Sales Manager, General Manager in a joint venture with Repsol, Products Trader and Risk Manager, as well as Business Analyst.

Oscar Silvius earned a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science from Eindhoven University of Technology between 1990 and 1996. In addition, they participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 1993, focusing on Industrieel management/Industrial engineering and management.
