Tyler Saffell has a diverse work experience in the field of IT automation and support. Tyler started their career at AMN Healthcare as a Production Support Specialist II, where they provided technical assistance from 2010 to 2014. Tyler then moved on to Cohu, Inc. as a PC Support Specialist II from 2014 to 2016.
In 2016, Tyler joined Sonic Boom Wellness as a Desktop Wizard Extraordinaire, where they offered first, second, and third-level support while also managing on-prem servers. Tyler automated various systems tasks using custom PowerShell scripts.
Since 2019, Tyler has been working at Baker Electric. Tyler initially served as an IT Automation Specialist, responsible for automating applications and providing level 2 and 3 support to the help desk. Tyler utilized PowerShell and Microsoft Intune to push software to over 750 machines and maintained Active Directory and Azure AD.
Currently, Tyler holds the position of IT Automation Specialist II at Baker Electric, which they started in August 2022. In this role, they support the development, execution, and implementation of automation technology within the organization's IT ecosystem. Tyler ensures consistency and compliance across AzureAD, Office365, and on-prem Active Directory by developing custom auditing tools and reports using PowerShell. Additionally, Tyler drives change through focused Change Management efforts to improve safety, quality, scalability, and reliability.
Tyler Saffell began their education in 2010 at Kaplan College-San Diego, where they studied Information Technology. Tyler obtained a certification in CompTIA A+ from CompTIA in July 2010. Recently, in August 2021, they acquired additional certifications in PowerShell: Automating Administration and PowerShell: Functions for Advanced Automation from LinkedIn.
