Janghwan (Justin) Kim is a Structural Engineer Consultant at BakerRisk, specializing in the analysis of structures under blast overpressure, retrofitting solutions for various building materials, and designing explosive processing enclosures. Prior experience includes a Graduate Assistant role at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, analyzing lane closures, and two internships at Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on concrete properties affected by Alkali-Silica Reaction and developing real-time structural health monitoring systems. Earlier research activities involved structural modeling, seismic mitigation strategies, and creating mechanical resonators while working as an NSF REU Fellow at the University of South Carolina. Janghwan holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University.
