Jay Idriss, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Manager of the Wilfred E. Baker Test Facility at Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc. since November 2007. In this role, Jay leads incident investigations and conducts physics-based structural and blast analysis, contributing to the understanding of events such as reactor explosions and pressure vessel ruptures. As Technical Director at PEW Science, LLC since September 2019, Jay oversees laboratory evaluation protocols for hazards associated with various energetic systems. Prior experience includes representing Pulsar Night Vision at Sellmark Corporation and serving as an Intelligence Analyst and Structural Engineer for the US Army's National Ground Intelligence Center. Jay holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil (Structural) Engineering from Texas A&M University.
