John Kerr

John Kerr possesses extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Chairman of the Broughty Ferry Traders Association since February 2025 and as Owner/Distiller of 45 Hound Black Limited since September 2021. John has held various senior executive positions at Baker Hughes since January 2017, including Senior Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer in subsea production systems and oilfield equipment. Prior to that, John worked at GE Oil & Gas as Executive Engineering Director in subsea production systems, and held multiple roles at Schlumberger, contributing to subsea technology development and project management from 1996 to 2012. Early career experiences include engineering roles at McDermott International Inc., PetroSA, and Vetco Gray INC. John has a solid educational background with studies at Fullstream Oil and Gas, Angus Technology College, and Montrose Academy.
