John Greenwood

John Greenwood is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in cardiology. Currently serving as Director at Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Melbourne and Monash University, Greenwood continues to make significant contributions to the field. Previously, Greenwood held the position of Professor of Cardiology at the University of Leeds from September 2013 to January 2024 and worked as a cardiac MRI specialist and interventional cardiologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust from 2005 to December 2023. Greenwood also served as President of the British Cardiovascular Society since June 2021 and was the President of the British Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance from May 2018 to May 2020. Academic credentials include an MBChB and PhD in Medicine from the University of Leeds.
