Orkhan Aghalarov

Orkhan Aghalarov, MBA, FMVA®, CertIFR has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Orkhan started their career at VES Consultancy in 2005 as an Expert, later being promoted to Senior Expert. In 2007, they joined Ernst & Young as an Audit Staff and progressed to the roles of Audit Advanced Staff and eventually Audit Senior. In 2011, they became the Finance Manager at Caspian International Investment Company before transitioning to the role of Chief Financial Officer at Ansar Leasing in 2013. Orkhan then served as the Chief Financial Officer at a Telecommunication company from 2015 to 2016. From 2016 to 2022, they held the position of Group Chief Financial Officer at Mirlex Group. In 2021, they founded CFO Club Azerbaijan. Most recently, Orkhan Aghalarov was the Director of Internal Audit and later assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer at Baku Steel Company. Additionally, they have served as a Seminar Leader at SABAH groups. With a strong background in finance and expertise in auditing and financial management, Orkhan Aghalarov brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to their current and future roles.

Orkhan Aghalarov completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Economics and Management from Azerbaijan State University of Economics • UNEC in 2008. Orkhan has also obtained additional certifications in various fields, including Business Essentials, Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst, and Certificate in International Financial Reporting, among others. These certifications were obtained from institutions such as Corporate Finance Institute®, ACCA, and MasterCPE LLC. In 2013, they received a Business Valuation Program Certificate from PwC Russia. Most recently, they completed the BCG Introduction to Strategy Consulting course from Forage in 2023.
