Gita Banga

Gita Banga has been working in the tech industry since 1997. Gita began their career as a Structural Engineer at Jacobs Engineering Group from 1997 to 1999. Gita then moved to Listen.Com where they were a Sr. Software Engineer from 1999 to 2003. During this time, they played a key role in Listen's music directory product. In 2003, they joined PDAapps Inc as a Software Architect and designed and implemented the BlackBerry VeriChat Unified Instant Messaging Application. In 2005, they joined Nokia as a Sr. Software Engineer and worked on Nokia/Intellisync Enterprise and Consumer Mobile IM after the acquisition of PDAapps. Gita managed Instant Messaging and Unified Messaging functionality on BlackBerry Client and supported Enterprise IM products including Sametime, LCS and Consumer IM products like Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, ICQ. Since 2011, Gita has been an Investor with various companies. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Balbix as a Sales/HR Operations and Talent Acquisition. At Balbix, they work on the world's leading platform for cybersecurity posture automation.

Gita Banga obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering between 1992 and 1996. Gita then went on to earn a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Rice University between 1996 and 1997.
