Nik Honeysett has a diverse work experience spanning several decades.
Nik began their career as a Programmer at Image Innovation Ltd in 1987 and then worked as a Developer at BBC Television in 1988.
In 1989, they joined Cogapp as the Head of Production, where they managed digital media projects for various sectors.
In 2000, they became the Manager of the Web Group at The J. Paul Getty Trust, overseeing a team of 22 members and handling administrative and production responsibilities.
In 2006, they were promoted to Head of Administration at the Getty Museum, where they managed personnel, budget, and operational needs across two sites.
In 2014, they became the Director and CEO of the Balboa Park Online Collaborative, a non-profit technology consultancy focused on supporting cultural organizations in San Diego's Balboa Park.
Nik Honeysett obtained a B.Sc. in Physics/Physical Electronics from the University of Brighton, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. Later, they pursued further education at the same university and received an M.Sc. in Microprocessors, completing their studies in 1987.

Balboa Park Online Collaborative’s mission is to: - Facilitate and execute a fundamental change in the way museums, cultural arts and science institutions in Balboa Park approach the use of online technology by making online technology an integral part of the way the institutions fulfill their missions, interact with patrons, and collaborate; - To improve their technology capabilities while reducing costs by bringing organizations with similar needs together on mutually beneficial projects; and - To allow smaller institutions the benefit of having technology systems of the same quality as larger organizations, who in turn benefit from streamlined expenditures. BPOC's 20 member institutions include: Balboa Park Conservancy, Balboa Park Cultural Partnership, Japanese Friendship Garden Society of San Diego, Mingei International Museum, Museum of Photographic Arts, Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, San Diego Air & Space Museum, San Diego Automotive Museum, San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum, San Diego Historical Society, San Diego Junior Theatre, The San Diego Museum of Art, San Diego Museum of Man, San Diego Natural History Museum, San Diego Youth Symphony, Spanish Village Art Center, The Old Globe, Timken Museum of Art, WorldBeat Center, and the Zoological Society of San Diego.
