Katherine Carey

Katherine Carey is an Associate Attorney at Balch & Bingham LLP since September 2022, bringing a strong foundation from her previous judicial externships with the U.S. District Courts and the Northern District of Georgia. Katherine has extensive experience in legal research and teaching, serving as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Emory University School of Law, and has held editorial leadership as the Executive Managing Online Editor for the Emory Law Journal. Summer Associate roles at Balch & Bingham LLP and internship experiences at the Georgia Supreme Court and Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta further complement Katherine's legal expertise. Katherine earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Emory University School of Law, following a scholarly trajectory that includes a Columbia Publishing Course and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Oglethorpe University.
