Felipe Lalanne has a long and varied work experience. Felipe began their career in 2002 as a Web Developer at the Computer Center of the Development Area at the University of Chile. In 2004, they moved to the Center for Web Research at the DCC of the University of Chile as a Research Assistant, researching cross language information retrieval. In 2005, they worked as a Project Engineer at Exec, developing services for digital signature and generation of electronic invoice documents. From 2006-2013, they worked at NIC Chile Research Labs as a Research Engineer and then a Tech Lead & Research Engineer. During this time, they conducted research on Networks, Mobile Devices, and Metrology of Quality of Service in the Internet. From 2013-2019, they worked at Inria Chile as a Tech Lead & Research Engineer and then as Director of Atelier. Their role as Director included shaping the strategy and value proposition of the platform and leading the technical team in experimental projects. Since 2020, they have worked as a Product Engineer at Balena.

Felipe Lalanne obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Formal Methodologies for Protocol Testing from Telecom & Management SudParis between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they obtained an Engineer degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Chile between 2000 and 2007.
