Gjergji Spaho

Gjergji Spaho has a strong background in software development and IT management. Gjergji is currently serving as Chief Information Officer at Balfin Group, a position they have held since September 2019. Prior to this, they spent 15 years at Raiffeisen Bank Albania, where they held various roles, including Head of Software Development & Application Management, Satellite Systems Team Leader, Senior Software Developer, and Multi-channel Applications Specialist. During their time at Raiffeisen Bank, they led the development of mission-critical software applications, managed large teams of developers, and implemented Agile methodologies. Gjergji also played a key role in establishing Service Oriented Architecture and creating a framework for electronic forms and loan origination applications. Before working at Raiffeisen Bank, Gjergji Spaho was an As/Specialist in the IT Department of the Savings Bank of Albania from 2002 to 2004.

Gjergji Spaho completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Tirana/ Faculty of Natural Sciences in 2003. Gjergji then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same institution, which they completed in 2005. In 2007, they enrolled in the University of Tirana/ Economics and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration in 2009.
