Leslie Cohn

Leslie Cohn is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the Balfour Beatty Investments division of Balfour Beatty plc (LSE: BBY). Ms. Cohn is responsible for the Legal and Business Integrity functions‎ across the Investments division, which maintains offices in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.‎ ‎In this role, Ms. Cohn oversees legal aspects of the company’s Investments portfolio, with over $1 billion in projects spanning a variety of social and economic infrastructure sectors. This includes public-private partnerships; development, asset and property management services; and multifamily, military and student housing. Ms. Cohn’s primary responsibilities include managing the legal risk management function for the company’s transactional activity, litigation matters, human resources, compliance, and governance.

Previously, Ms. Cohn served as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel of GMH Communities Trust, a NYSE-traded real estate investment trust. Prior to that, she was a member of the Business and Finance group of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where her practice focused on securities law, venture capital finance, mergers/acquisitions, and general corporate matters. Ms. Cohn received her J.D. in 1998 from The University of Michigan Law School, and dual Bachelors of Arts degrees, with honors, from Emory University in 1995.
