Shannon Carmody

Shannon Carmody currently serves as the Director of Plant Pathology at Ball Horticultural Company, a position held since June 2018, and previously worked as a Plant Pathologist. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Student in Plant Pathology at Washington State University, focusing on vegetable seed pathology in the Skagit Valley, and participating as a Seed Matters Fellow and Smick Scholarship Recipient. Additional roles include Operations Director at Viva Farms and Public Programs Manager and Education Assistant at Seed Savers Exchange. Shannon began a career as a Naturalist at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree with a double major in International Relations and Environmental Studies from Beloit College, completed in 2007.
