Joshua A. Fisher

Joshua A. Fisher is an experienced academic and professional in the field of emerging media design and development. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Ball State University since July 2022, Fisher conducts research and teaches subjects including UX, design, interactive narrative, and non-fiction immersive media. Joshua has held significant roles at prestigious institutions such as NYU Tandon School of Engineering and Columbia College Chicago, the latter where Fisher developed a top-ranked Immersive Media BA program. With a background as the founder of Fisher Digital Media and Appoet Inc., as well as a strategic advisor for Fanboard, Fisher has extensive practical experience in AR, VR, and immersive technologies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Digital Media from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University.
