Director, Risk Management, Insurance And Safety at Ball State University

Kimberly Miller has a background in risk management, insurance, and safety. Kimberly worked as the Director of Risk Management, Insurance, and Safety at Ball State University from May 2014 to the present. In this role, they were responsible for implementing university-wide programs and standards in property and casualty insurance, environmental health and safety, and enterprise risk management. Kimberly also oversaw compliance with minors on campus program and faculty/staff international travel safety.

Prior to their current position, Miller served as the Director of Risk Management at Bowling Green State University from September 2000 to May 2014. In this role, they directed university-wide risk management insurance and safety programs, with a focus on property and casualty insurance, claims, loss control, driver safety, and student travel safety. Kimberly also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Management and Organization Development from Spring Arbor University. Additionally, they pursued the CPCU Curriculum in Insurance and Risk Management at The Institutes: American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. Furthermore, they earned an Associate of Applied Business in Business Management Technology with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Toledo. Kimberly Miller has also obtained additional certifications including ISO 31000 Standard Training from the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA) in 2015 and an ERM Fellow from NC State Executive Education in January 2023.
