Matt Marvel has extensive experience in academia and entrepreneurship, currently serving as the Interim Department Chair for Management and Associate Dean of Operations at Ball State University since June 2014. In addition, Marvel holds the title of The George A. Ball Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and has previously directed the Entrepreneurship Center within the Miller College of Business. Prior roles include the Coffman Chair of Entrepreneurial Studies and Associate Professor at West Virginia University and positions at Western Kentucky University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Marvel received a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Development. Additionally, early career experiences include senior roles in business development and account management in various companies. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Eastern Illinois University and a B.S. in Marketing from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
